Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WeLocation app ("the app", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

1. Who can use WeLocation

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you set up or manage an account for a family member, you are responsible for that use and for having the right to do so.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

3. Location sharing and consent

WeLocation lets people share their location with each other. You agree to use it responsibly:

Only connect with people who agree to share with you. Everyone controls their own sharing and can turn it off at any time.
Do not use the app to track, monitor, or harass anyone without their knowledge and consent, or in any way that is unlawful.
Location that others share with you is for personal use only. Do not redistribute it or use it to harm anyone.

Not for emergencies. WeLocation, including its SOS and safety-alert features, is a convenience tool and is not a substitute for emergency services. In a real emergency, always call your local emergency number. Location data can be delayed or inaccurate — do not rely on the app alone for safety-critical decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the app.
Harass, threaten, impersonate, or stalk other people.
Upload harmful, illegal, or offensive content, or spam other users.
Attempt to disrupt, hack, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.
Use the app to build a competing product or scrape its data.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Some features (such as messaging and safety-alert settings) require a VIP subscription, offered as a monthly or yearly plan.
Payments are processed by the app store (Google Play, and in future the App Store). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app-store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
Optional tips ("Buy me a coffee") are one-time and non-refundable except where required by law.
Refunds are handled according to the app store's policies. Prices may change, with notice for renewals.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages and photos you send. To operate the app, you grant us a limited licence to store and deliver that content to the recipients you choose. You are responsible for the content you share and confirm you have the right to share it.

7. Games and fair play

The app includes games you can play with others. Do not cheat, exploit bugs, or disrupt other players' experience.

8. Our rights

The app, its design, and its content (excluding your own content) belong to us and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app under these Terms.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app running but do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or accurate. We may add, change, or remove features, and may update the app over the internet.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from delayed or inaccurate location data or from reliance on the app for safety.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the service. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
